New Trafic Van

Renault has just launched its first biodiesel-compatible vehicles with the unveiling of Trafic 2.0 dCi B30 and Master 2.5 dCi B30 in France.

These are the first expressions of Renault's commitment to biofuels, made by the company as part of Renault Commitment 2009, whereby all diesel engines sold in Europe by 2009 will be able to run on fuel blends containing 30% biofuel.

Renault Commitment 2009 also sets the goal of selling one million vehicles emitting less than 140 grams per kilometre of CO2 by 2008, of which a third less than 120 grams per kilometre. In 2005, Renault sold 20% of all vehicles emitting less than 120 grams per kilometre.
Targeted principally at fleet customers seeking to reduce the CO2 emissions of their vehicles, Trafic is available with either 90hp or 115hp outputs from the 2.0 dCi B30 engine.

New Master Van

Like its smaller brother, there will be a myriad of New Master versions. There will be a choice of three wheelbases (short, medium and long - 3078mm, 3578mm and 4078mm), three roof heights (short, medium and high, 2.25m, 2.48m and 2.72m) and three body types: panel van, commercial passenger vehicle (Master 6, 9 and 16 Seat) and open transport (platform, chassis and double chassis cab). The New Master load volume ranges from 8m³ to 20m³.

The new 2.5 dCi engine is available in New Master with three power outputs: 100hp, 120hp and 150hp. The mid-range 120hp engine gains 10Nm in maximum torque and a particulate filter appears on the dCi 150 engine. All three 2.5 dCi engines are available with a six-speed manual gearbox or Quickshift6.

Kangoo Van 2007

Renault's distinctive Kangoo Van is still Europe's best-selling compact van, so to maintain its ever-popular appeal and make it even more competitive in the UK, it's being simplified for 2007 and the price of all entry-level SL versions reduced by £300.

On the outside, the only visual distinction between the current and new versions are the new crystal indicator casings, while under the bonnet, in light of the incoming Euro 4 engine regulations, the special edition SL Euro 3 versions will be discontinued, giving an initial choice of ten SL16, SL17 and SL17+ models.

Both trim levels will offer a choice of 1.2 75hp or 1.6 95hp petrol engine, the latter only available as an automatic, while Renault's award-winning common-rail diesel engines are available in 1.5-litre guise, from 60hp to 85hp. Higher payload (800kg) SL19 dCi 70 versions will be available in Spring 2007.

Clio Campus Van

The chic and stylish Clio has always been a favourite of UK buyers and the van version is no different. The arrival of New Clio last year led to the Clio II car range being known as Clio Campus, so the van version now follows suit, complete with more modern styling and a lower price to tackle the competitive small van sector with renewed vigour in 2007.
